1. Bromo mountain.

Sunrise at Mount Bromo, a small active volcano crater
surrounded by the "Sea of Sands" inside the big Tengger
crater. You can walk all around on the rim of the Bromo
crater.











2. Kretek cigaret factory, Malang.

Visit at one of the many kretek cigaret factories in
Malang and surrounding area. The atmospheric conditions
here are perfect for the cigaret manufacturers. The
tobacco is mixed with chopped and sundried clove which
gives the specific smell to the cigarets. It is still
common that they are handrolled. In Kediri, the main
factory of Gudang Garam, 40.000 people are working!!










3. Balekambang.

At the southern coast, 2 hours drive from Malang, you
can find several  attractive beaches. This one is popular
because of a small temple-island. The coast is completely
facing the open Indian Ocean allowing long rows of big
waves to smash against the rocks. And don't go into the
sea, especially if you're wearing something green, because
locals believe the sea-goddess will drag you in: the
current is indeed very strong!
